The Boston Pops has cancelled its season due to Covid-19. The only other time that has happened in the ensemble’s 135-year history was in 1890.

The 2020 season was to have marked Keith Lockhart’s 25th anniversary season as Pops conductor.

While the Boston Symphony Orchestra has cancelled the rest of its 2019-20 season, the orchestra said Wednesday that no decision has yet been made about this summer’s Tanglewood Festival. bso.org
