Sō Percussion has shared a long association with Steve Reich. In 2005, the enterprising ensemble released a recording of Drumming, the composer’s hypnotic, ever-driving, hour-and-a-half long treatment of African rhythms and phase technique.

Thursday night, in a concert sponsored by the Celebrity Series, the New York-based ensemble will traverse the churning rhythms and slowly shifting textures of this masterpiece of minimalism.
