Three years ago, soprano Natalie Dessay made her Celebrity Series debut to a sold-out crowd with a recital of largely French repertoire. This Saturday the singer will mark her return to Boston with an intriguing program titled “Portraits of Women.”

Steering clear of over-performed works that deal with the subject, Dessay’s program will feature arias by Mozart and Gounod as well as songs by Schubert, Debussy, and Mendelssohn. Pianist Philippe Cassard will accompany.
