Riccardo Chailly cancels BSO dates for health reasons

Riccardo Chailly has canceled his two weeks of January concerts with the Boston Symphony Orchestra due to undisclosed health reasons. The 58-year-old Italian conductor has withdrawn from all podium appearances for the next two months.

An announcement about replacement conductors and program changes for the two BSO programs from January 19-31 will be made at a future date.
