This is not shaping up to be a great weekend for visiting classical artists in Boston.

Not one but two musicians have pulled out of their upcoming appearances for the Celebrity Series. On Thursday, Maurizio Pollini canceled his Sunday recital due to illness. And earlier in the week bass-baritone Eric Owens pulled out of his duo recital with tenor Lawrence Brownlee on Saturday night. (The event will still take place, now as a solo recital with Brownlee.)

Ticket holders will be contacted regarding options. Refunds will be issued at place of purchase. Call the Celebrity Series at 617-482-6661.
